I am so thankful to still be here with enough energy to work and the courage to go ahead with my first solo exhibition. I am deeply grateful to two artists who have become dear friends. With their delightful, lively lessons, Mimmo Cozzolino and Sheena Mathieson helped me regain my enthusiasm and self-confidence. There were years of no creativity as my partner made the long goodbye of Alzheimers and then the blank space of covid lockdown.Loving support from everyone in my family has always made me feel extremely lucky. The most enormous gratitude of all is for my extraordinary home, planet Earth with all things 'counter, original, spare, strange; whatever is fickle, freckled.........' to borrow a few words from G.M.Hopkins.Without Sheena I would never have imagined that I could have an exhibition.
